He co-founded the folk rock supergroup Crosby, Stills & Nash.
The singer, guitarist and songwriter was part of the Byrds.
He was the son of Oscar-winning cinematographer Floyd Crosby.
Crosby was twice inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Five albums of his contribution were included in Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
